Terry Harris is joining us for our January event as our Guest Speaker.

Diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy when he was two years old, Terry Harris in the opinion of many experts would have no hope of leading a fulfilling life.
In 1995 Terry graduated from Brock University with a B.A. in English Literature. He obtained a Master’s Degree in Counselling in 1999 from Tyndale Seminary and a Diploma in Restorative Justice from Queen’s University in 2011. Today Terry Coordinates the CoSA program with The Salvation Army helping offenders safely and successfully reintegrate into the community.
Between 2004 and 2010 ,Terry hosted a radio segment called, “From Obstacles to Opportunities” on UCB Canada which featured stories of overcoming, positive living and encouragement. It was later published as a book. Terry has been the guest speaker at business events, Sales Congress, Campuses, medical and education conferences, Lions, Rotary and Kiwanis Clubs. Terry credits his accomplishments first and foremost to a loving merciful God, a supportive family and certain precious individuals who believed in him along the way.
Over the years Terry has spent many hours doing therapy to achieve and maintain mobility. Having learned to tie his shoes at age 17, Terry knows first hand the importance of patience. Having learned to drive at age 19, Terry cherishes the value of perseverance in the everyday challenges of life. Having taken 5 years to become proficient at downhill skiing, Terry knows the importance of supportive relationships and team work. Terry also has family members working in the Financial Planning, Direct Sales and Retail Sectors and understands the unique challenges they face.
